Institute attends Royal Cornwall Show

Tim Scott-Ellis MICFor, Managing Director of Evolve Tree Consultancy, has been representing the Institute on behalf of the South West England Member Network at the Royal Cornwall Show for many years. This year’s show took place on 6,7 and 8 June 2024 and Tim joined a diverse range of organisations on our stand in the Woodland Area, with the recent additions of The Grower, Tamar Trees and Plant One bringing lots of plants and enthusiasm. The Woodland Area has a real community feel, with networking opportunities and practical demonstrations and talks on trees and timber, woodlands and forestry.

Tim was joined by Institute President and Head Forester for the Duchy of Cornwall, Geraint Richards MVO FICFor, who also attended the show, where they met Institute members from Pryor Rickett Silviculture, Tilhill, Woodland Trust, South West Woodland Management, Forestry Commission, Forest for Cornwall and more.

The annual show provides an excellent opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues from across the forestry and farming community and Tim made useful connections with potential new members and existing members of the Institute.

We are grateful to Tim for continually offering his time to represent us at this event.
