Richard Nicholson Arboricultural Planning Consultant is a company of one. He has over 30 years’ experience in Planning, having managed Tree and Landscape teams in local authorities. He chaired the review group for both the 2005 and 2012 versions of BS5837. His specialism is arboriculture within the Planning framework and he also has long experience of providing training to Planners and Tree Officers.
As well as handling the arboricultural input to planning applications, particularly contentious and challenging sites, his range of work includes matters relating to Tree Preservation Orders, enforcement, and advice on soil management and tree planting.
He can also provide temporary cover or an additional resource to local authorities in the South.
