Join us for #MembersHour on 7 May with Dougal Driver FICFor CEnv and Rachel Lawrence.
You might recognise the Grown in Britain (GiB) logo as a certification mark, but there’s far more going on beneath the canopy.
During this #MembersHour, the GiB team will take you on a tour of everything the organisation does to support British forestry. From its full suite of certification schemes: Forest, Chain of Custody, and the newly launched BSCQ scheme for certifying stored natural carbon, to details about its Expert Provider network, and the Rooted programme designed to maximise the mental and physical health benefits of woodlands.
They’ll also cover GiB’s landmark Category A status under the UK Government’s Timber Procurement Policy, what this means for foresters and timber businesses alike, and how GiB is actively supporting the Government’s position on grey squirrel control and deer management by leading advocacy work for both new policy statements and by managing the British Quality Wild Venison (BQWV) certification scheme.
Whether you’re already certified or simply want to understand how GiB can work for you and the UK’s woodlands, this is a session not to miss.
