Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an arboricultural consultant to join our Forestry and Arboriculture team.

You’ll work with 11 consultants and one administrator within our South/Central team.

You’ll be based out of our Oxford office, and your focus will be in the following areas:

  • Build new client relationships and build their own order book as well as secure repeat business
  • Develop new service lines in response to opportunities that arrive and build work from wider Savills disciplines
  • Manage P&L, debtors, WIP, invoicing and contribute to reforecasting and budgeting process
  • Provide balanced advice to clients on competing demands of land use
  • Line management experience and leadership skills

 

You will need to have the following technical experience:

  • Lantra Professional tree inspection or similar
  • Four years’ experience in a similar role
  • Level 5 or above in relevant subject or lower qualification with suitable industry experience
  • Professional member of the Arboricultural Association and/or Institute of Chartered Foresters.

 

Your role will focus on the arboricultural consultancy service line, delivering tree condition surveys, tree risk management plans, use zoning and policy, BS5837 surveys, amenity tree care and overseeing the delivery of remedial work.

The role will involve business development and seeking out opportunities to work across disciplines as well as developing further services such as GIS mapping and databases.

Team overview

As a member of the Savills South/Central Forestry and Arboriculture team, you will be responsible for conducting tree condition surveys, developing tree risk management plans, implementing use zoning, performing BS5837 surveys, managing amenity tree care, and overseeing the execution of remedial work. Our clients include organisations such as The Crown Estate and Oxford University.

The wider Rural division operates across the UK, with a network of 37 offices and a number of estate offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West
