The role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for early-level and mid-level arboricultural consultants to join our expert team.

You will join the Treework Career Path which provides progression from Grade 1 (Trainee) to Grade 6 (Principal Consultant).

We are currently looking for people who are at Grade 2, 3 and 4 (see framework below).

The roles will work collaboratively within a team on projects involving trees in relation to planning and development, tree risk surveys, tree population management, contract administration and ancient / veteran tree surveys and advice.

We work around the UK and travel to projects is part of the job. Treework cover travel, subsistance and accommodation costs.

The candidate

You need to have a Level 3 arboricultural qualification and 1-3 years’ experience in field-based surveying and data collection.

Ideally you will have experience with BS5837 and tree risk surveying, and good tree knowledge.

You need to be able to work both independently and within a team, and to be client focused and inquisitive about all areas of arboriculture and how these relate to the delivery of a successful project.

Location: We are currently looking for consultants based in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. We have established infrastructure and practices to support remote working, with over 10 years’ experience of operating in this this way.

• Grade 3 – Field based surveying / data collection for tree inventories and BS5837, construction site inspections, Report delivery with oversite / support from a Principal Consultant of BS5837 constraints, tree inventories, TPO applications.
• Grade 4 – Field based surveying / data collection for tree inventories, walkover risk survey and BS5837, construction site inspections, independent and supported external delivery of tree inventory reports, Walkover tree risk reports, BS5837 constraints to AIA, AMS, veteran tree report, quoting, client relations / development, Supporting training development
