About the opportunity
The Soil Association has recently received confirmation of funding from the Forestry Commission to deliver an exciting and innovative project to develop and pilot ‘Whole Farm Tree Plans’ in England. We now need a Farm Woodland Advisor to help support the delivery of this project and in time to work across our wider ‘trees on farms’ programmes. You will be working alongside our project manager and our partners over the 18-month period of this project, across most of England with a concentration of pilots in the South-West.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation and a team that has been at the forefront of raising awareness and supporting farmers to take forward agroforestry and farm woodland projects as part of a wider agroecological transition. So, if you have woodland management experience and an interest in how woodlands and trees can support regenerative farming systems, this may be just the role for you.
