Job description

Would you like to help shape the future of Scotland’s forests and land? If you are practical, creative and enjoy working with others; are enthusiastic about sustainable management of land; and are interested in a job that gets you out and about then this may be the job for you!

We are seeking Forest Planners for both our West and South Regions, to prepare our long-term land management plans. The plans set out how we will manage forests to secure timber supply, adapt land management to climate change, accommodate windfarms, restore peatlands and Scottish Rainforest, protect and manage other native woodland on key sites, and enhance the setting of recreation sites.

If you would like to work for an organisation that cares for public land; are enthusiastic about collaborative working; and have some experience of spatial planning or the management of land or forests, then see the full job description.

We have Permanent and Fixed Term opportunities available.
