Job description

We are looking for a Part Time Forestry and Landscape Officer to support our high performing Development Management Team.

We are looking for a Forestry Officer who will assist in the management of protected trees including the creation of new Tree Preservation Orders. In particular, the role will evaluate notifications for works to trees within Conservation Areas or those covered by Tree Preservation Orders, including site visits, professional interpretation, liaising with applicants, Parish Councils and Ward Members together with the preparation of delegated and committee reports. The role also has responsibility for administrating hedgerow legislation including removal and replacement notices and assessing high hedge complaints.

The post holder will work closely with the other Forestry and Landscape Officer in the team.

The position is based in the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon and whose district includes numerous Conservation Areas and wonderful countryside.
