Alongside planning-related consultancy, you will also, for some projects, play an important part in ensuring smooth handover for the delivery of tree clearance works for the consented project to our Infrastructure division, supporting delivery for the forestry element of the overall project.

About You

You will have the following:

  • Diploma or Degree in Forestry, Arboriculture, or a related rural subject
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in forestry, ecology, or consultancy (experience with FGS and /or planning-related forestry consultancy)
  • Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable
  • Understanding of UK Forestry Standards (UKFS), relevant planning/forestry legislation
  • A desire to develop experience preparing technical reports in support of planning applications and EIAs
  • Proficiency in GIS for mapping and analysis
  • Knowledge of tree surveying and hazard/risk assessment methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills in order to manage multiple projects
  • Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across Scotland and Northern England

In return we can offer a highly competitive salary package and other staff benefits.
