Job description

JOIN A DYNAMIC TEAM TACKLING CLIMATE CHANGE, WORKING WITH ONE OF THE UK’S FASTEST GROWING BUSINESS SECTORS

Confor (The Confederation of Forest Industries) is the UK representative body for the forestry and wood processing sector.

Planting more trees and using more home-grown, wood-based products will play a key role in achieving Net Zero. This role is an opportunity to be a key player in a team supporting businesses contributing to a low-carbon, green economy – an opportunity to help make a real difference.

The forestry and wood processing sector has experienced rapid growth in recent decades, not only in the number and variety of jobs available but also its contribution to the economy and in its increasing political significance. Confor has a key role to play in supporting the future growth of the sector, including through working with governments across the UK to provide a supportive policy and funding environment for planting new woodland, sustainably managing woodland and developing businesses working with wood.
