Job description

Forestry and Land Scotland is looking for a Regional Stewardship Manager to join our South Region team.

The Regional Stewardship Manager plays a key role ensuring our targets and objectives are achieved, from managing the delivery of core timber marketing and harvesting programs, new woodland creation, restocking, silviculture, the management of wild deer and more.

This position is suited to someone with great people management skills, an ability to deliver at a fast pace, and make effective decisions. You will work as part of a large, dispersed team of people who truly care about Scotland’s woodlands, and have the chance to make a real impact on the direction of the Region’s future.

Our South Region covers the Scottish Borders, all the way to the Isle of Arran, totaling almost 170,000ha of land with huge variety and potential. Our teams in the South deliver an impressive portfolio of projects, from producing over a million cubic meters of timber each year, to creating new woodlands and restoring peatlands. Our recreational provisions are world class, with mountain biking, visitor centers and a range of biodiversity to explore.

If this role is of interest to you, please see the job description and success profile to find out more or get in touch with a member of the team.
