Job description

We are seeking applications from candidates with varying levels of experience and/or qualifications to help us grow the Arboriculture team and business. The post holders will manage and develop an existing client base located throughout England, requiring a mixture of field and office-based skills. These roles will offer a good variety of professional and project work with an emphasis on working with the Carter Jonas infrastructure teams, local estates / landowners, and businesses. The team is based in the midlands centred around the Birmingham office, but location can be flexible.

Main tasks

  • Tree risk management surveys and reporting
  • Supervision of delivery of remedial works
  • Assisting the senior members of the team with tree inspections/ surveys
  • Reactive tree inspections after storm events
  • BS5837- Trees in relation to construction, demolition, and planning
  • Pricing tree risk management surveys and inspections

 

What does it take to be successful?

Candidates ideally should be Chartered Arboriculturists or working towards Chartered status or have the have the equivalent Arboriculture degree or qualification. The successful candidate will be set up with the appropriate equipment to be a mobile worker, based at home to attend sites throughout the country, with an expectation of attending an office 1-2 day per week to integrate with other Carter Jonas teams.

Ideally you will have Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in arboriculture / forestry along with good tree, fungi, and disease ident skills. Computer literate, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word as a minimum

Full UK Driving License is required.
