Job description

This is a great time to join the growing Woodland Carbon Code team at Scottish Forestry and help scale up nature-based solutions to the climate emergency.

We’re looking for a knowledgeable, dynamic, analytical monitoring advisor to join the team that manages the Woodland Carbon Code, the UK’s first globally endorsed carbon standard.

As part of the team, The Woodland Carbon Code Monitoring Advisor will be responsible for reviewing and proposing new and innovative methods by which the tree count, stock of carbon and potential health of WCC projects can be accurately and cost-effectively monitored as our woodlands mature.

This is a new and forward-looking role where you will have the flexibility and ability to influence the future direction of monitoring of carbon and potentially other nature market projects in the UK.

If this interests you, please see the job description and Success Profile for a full overview of the role.

Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable.
