Six month paid internships with the Centre for Forest Protection.

October 2023 – April 2024

The Centre for Forest Protection has created three exciting new internships based at Forest Research in Surrey or Midlothian, and Kew Gardens in London. These positions will focus on important topics in tree health and forest protection – please see below. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and experience within two of Britain’s leading research institutes. Applications for these internships will close on 4 August 2023.

Practical characterisation of forest genetic resources and their contribution to forest protection. Forest Research – Roslin, Midlothian.
Predicting severity of tree diseases across British forests Forest Research – Surrey.
Identifying genetic variants associated with resilience to climate change in UK alder and birch. Kew Gardens – Richmond, London.
