Nature Restoration Fund: early information for nature markets and the wider sector

The Planning and Infrastructure Act is a key part of the government’s ambition to deliver long-term economic growth and accelerate the delivery of new homes and infrastructure across Britain. As part of this, the Forestry Commission has just published the Nature Restoration Fund Implementation Plan, setting out how the Act will support the recovery of protected sites and species while enabling development to move forward at pace.

To support this, the Forestry Commission has published a blog highlighting what the Nature Restoration Fund means in practice for nature markets and the wider environmental sector. It considers the opportunities and implications for farmers and land managers, habitat banks, environmental charities and not-for-profit organisations, ecological consultancies, and the many contractors and specialist organisations involved in designing and delivering nature recovery outcomes.
