The Institute of Chartered Foresters continues to be a strong voice for the forestry and arboriculture sector. We are committed to promoting professionalism and the accomplishments of this dynamic and growing workforce, while championing the exciting and diverse career opportunities on offer.
With ambitious plans for the remaining two years of our five-year strategic plan, it is a great time to stand for election to sit on our Council. Our Council has control over all matters relating to the management and organisation of the Institute and all service on Council is honorary. Standing for election as an Honorary Officer or Councillor is a great opportunity for you to develop your governance skills, raise your professional profile and help shape how your profession develops going forward.
There are currently opportunities to stand for President, Vice President and there are five seats (three Fellows and two Professional Members) on Council. We are particularly keen to welcome more early career professionals and arboriculturists on our Council.
